Live Arts and Social Unrest: the Greek Crisis Case
Director and writer Eugenia Tzirtzilaki will join SITI Company in our studio to discuss the role of live arts in heated socio-political circumstances. She will present several “snapshots” from the Greek reality of the past eight years, showing how the financial crisis has made dominant morals more conservative and social reactions more extreme, ultimately polarizing local communities. The effect of these changes in live arts practice and Ms. Tzirtzilaki’s own experience as a theater maker will serve as a case study in order to discuss in a wider scope how the arts can respond to times of crisis.
Please join us for SITI’s first Thought Center: Perspectives event.
