In the interest of exposing our participants as well as ourselves to a broadening spectrum of approaches to artistic preparation, SITI offers Master classes featuring prominent guest artists and SITI Company members teaching a wide range of subjects. These classes are another way to engage in robust cultural and artistic exchange, provide a rich complement to SITI’s core training vocabularies, and a unique opportunity for artists in all disciplines.
Upcoming Master Classes
2014-2015 Master Class Series
SITI Company is excited to announce that in the coming months, SITI Company Members will offer a series of Master Classes in our New York City Studio.
To kick off this series, Co-Artistic Director Anne Bogart will offer three Viewpoints Master Classes over the course of the year. Each Master Class will take place in New York City over a weekend. The September session focused on the Viewpoints in devising new work. The second workshop from May 5-7, 2015 will examine the Viewpoints in staging classic plays. The final session in the fall of 2015 will culminate in a final performance for an invited audience.
Applicants to Anne’s workshops should be theater practitioners with a fairly extensive background in Viewpoints. Because of the limited number of spaces in each workshop, applicants must apply for each workshop individually. The dates of the Spring Master Classes will be confirmed later this year, and applications for each workshop will open several weeks before each intensive.
Please see below for application information about the May Master Class.
