In the interest of exposing our participants as well as ourselves to a broadening spectrum of approaches to artistic preparation, SITI offers Master classes featuring prominent guest artists and SITI Company members teaching a wide range of subjects. These classes are another way to engage in robust cultural and artistic exchange, provide a rich complement to SITI’s core training vocabularies, and a unique opportunity for artists in all disciplines.
Upcoming Master Classes
2014-2015 Master Class Series
SITI Company is excited to announce that in the coming months, SITI Company Members will offer a series of Master Classes in our New York City Studio.
To kick off this series, Co-Artistic Director Anne Bogart has offered three Viewpoints Master Classes over the course of the year. Each Master Class will take place in New York City. The September session focused on the Viewpoints in devising new work. The second workshop from in May examined the Viewpoints in staging classic plays. The final session in December 2015 looks at using the Viewpoints when working with contemporary plays, specifically Chuck Mee’s work.
Applicants to Anne’s workshops should be theater practitioners with a fairly extensive background in Viewpoints. Because of the limited number of spaces in each workshop, applicants must apply for each workshop individually. Applications for each workshop will open several weeks before each intensive.
