Overview of Upcoming Training Opportunities

SITI offers a biennial Conservatory, training studios in our New York home, a master class series in NYC, a yearly intensive at Skidmore College, and international and domestic workshops. Please see below for a listing of upcoming workshops. This list is updated as workshops are confirmed, so please keep checking back! 

Viewpoints Master Class with Anne Bogart

Topic:

Led by SITI Company Co-Artistic Director, Anne Bogart, this Master Class will focus on using the Viewpoints vocabulary while working on duets and trios from the plays of Charles L. Mee Jr.

Fall Morning Studio 2018

Offered as a complimentary program within SITI’s 2018/2019 Conservatory year, Morning Studio is an 8-week program for artists who have an advanced understanding of the Suzuki and Viewpoints and are looking for more intensive study. Admission to Morning Studio is extremely selective and is only open to applicants with substantial prior experience training with SITI Company.

When: October 15 – December 14, Monday through Friday mornings from 10am to 1pm. (No class the week of November 19th, Thanksgiving Break)

2018 Summer Training

August 27 – September 7, 2018. Monday – Friday, 10:00am – 1:00pm.

About the Training:

Developed by the internationally acclaimed director Tadashi Suzuki and the Suzuki Company of Toga, the Suzuki Method seeks to heighten the actor’s emotional and physical power and commitment to each moment on the stage. 

Transformation through Training


SITI is happy to announce our second Transformation through Training Convening, an international gathering of artists and scholars whose work has been influenced by the two actor training methods shared at SITI, the Suzuki Method of Actor Training and the Viewpoints.

Spring Training

Level 1: Beginner

March 11 – April 12 (5 Weeks)
Monday – Friday, 10:00am – 2:00pm
Tuition: $1,100
Early bird rate: $1,000 (must pay full amount by February 25)

Level 2: Intermediate

March 25 – April 12 (3 Weeks)
Monday – Friday, 10:00am – 2:00pm
Tuition: $600
Early bird rate: $575 (must pay fulll amount by March 11)

Applications for Level 1 are closed. We will continue to accept Level 2 applications until Monday, February 25, 6:00pm.

2014 Conservatory Application Instructions

An Application fee of $75 is payable via check or credit card using the Paypal button below. Acceptance notification is April 18, 2014. Accepted students will be required to sign an acceptance agreement and pay a deposit of $1,250 within 30 days of acceptance notification. Please send all questions to conservatory@siti.org.

When is the next Conservatory?

SITI offers the Conservatory every other year. The next Conservatory year will begin in October 2018 and conclude in May 2019. 

When will the application be available?

Applications for the third Conservatory cohort will open on December 15, 2017 at www.siti.org/conservatory.  

How much does the Conservatory cost?
