Each week, SITI Company spotlights one of our Conservatory artists. This week, we are happy to highlight the work of Manuela Ferreira. Speaking of her work as a director, Manuela says, “In fact, that question of translation is not really new for me, because I used to work with different groups of people in different contexts– like professionals, non-professionals; young people, old people– so in a way, I’m always translating my ideas, my idea of theater. […] A director needs to translate.”
